The creative movement program is designed with the whole child in mind. Our instructor for the last five (5) years has been Ms. Melody Smith, a classically trained ballet dancer. Our program focuses on the growth and development of the child using creative skills, dance skills, and fine and gross motor skills. Classical and non-traditional (Disney) music is used throughout the class.
The basic dance skills are ballet based. Children 3-9 years of age will gain large and fine motor skills, body awareness and spatial awareness as well as time for creative “free” dance at the end of each class. During each class we will also work on motor and rhythm skills using a variety of fun “toys” such as scarves, rhythm sticks and bean bags. Children learn a variety of dance steps that are age appropriate and prepare them for pre-ballet classes. The dress code is pink tights, a leotard and ballet shoes for girls, and athletic pants and a tee shirt for boys. We will have a recital at our school in May where the children will have a chance to show what they have learned during the school year.
You can find ballet shoes, tights and leotards at:

This class is designed to introduce students to a variety of art experiences through the use of paint, crayons, markers, colored pencils and more. Artist’s reproductions, children’s literature and teacher-made examples will be used to reinforce concepts and vocabulary used in each lesson. Each lesson will build upon previously introduced art vocabulary and concepts. Students will learn how to use the following techniques.
The classes will start from 1st week of September and will run for a full hour for 30 weeks. You are welcome to observe your child during this time. However, please do not disturb the class by participating in your child’s activities, or by picking your child up earlier than 4 PM.
All children need to bring their Mom or Dad’s shirt to wear as a smock.

The purpose and focus of Cooking with children is to bring fresh, healthy, and semi-home made food and classic cooking techniques to children. Most importantly, to have a great time and to show that there is good and “real” food far above and beyond of known fast food.
Ms. Maedeh would like to share her passion of cooking with children. Her teaching is a “hands on” and concrete approach to cooking for children, ages 4-11.
Our kids help us see the world with fresh eyes, and fill our lives with hope, joy, and inspiration. As parents, our greatest challenge is to feed our kids well and give them everything they need to live happy, healthy lives. And we know how exhilarating and exhausting that can be. So I am committed to providing busy moms and dads with the tips, tools, and ideas they need to fuel their kids' appetites and imaginations.
Mondays 3:05 - 3:35 p.m.
